Diamond Sports is hoping to break up with the Arizona Diamondbacks, but it’s not you, it’s them. The company, which owns 19 regional sports networks, has filed an emergency motion to get out of its broadcast agreement with the team. Apparently, Diamond Sports is losing significant amounts of money under the deal and it “no longer fits” within its long-term plans. If the judge approves the motion, Major League Baseball will take over production of Diamondbacks games.
