Love Rat Richard Keys Ties the Knot with Daughter’s Best Friend
In a surprising turn of events, former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has married his daughter’s best friend, Lucie Rose. The couple exchanged vows on a picturesque country estate, with Keys looking dashing in a cream linen suit by Hugo Boss. Despite the significant age gap, Keys, 66, and Rose, 30 years his junior, couldn’t be happier.
Keys, who left his wife for Rose, spoke to The Sun before the wedding, expressing his excitement and nerves. “I’m a very lucky man,” he said. “We’re heading off to Canada for our honeymoon, which is a bit different. Then it’s back to work for both of us in August and the start of the football season for me.”
The couple tried to keep their wedding low-key by choosing a private estate as the venue. However, their pre-wedding activities at the luxurious Mandrake Hotel in West London caught the attention of social media users.
This union has not been without its fair share of controversy. Keys’ ex-wife, Julia, revealed that the affair between Keys and Rose devastated their family. She expressed her disappointment in Lucie for betraying their trust.
Keys has faced numerous accusations and denials surrounding his divorce and the timing of his relationship with Rose. However, he remains focused on his new chapter with his daughter’s former friend.
The wedding celebration lasted two days and included a pool party on the Sunday. Notably absent from the guest list was Keys’ daughter Jemma, who has openly shared her feelings of betrayal and heartbreak over the affair.
Keys’ career took a hit in 2011 when he was sacked from his job at Sky Sports after making derogatory comments about female referee Sian Massey-Ellis. However, he has since found success as the face of BeIN Sports channels in the Middle East.
Keys and Rose are now off to Canada for their honeymoon, ready to embark on this new adventure together.
