Reese Witherspoon was seen keeping it casual as she made her way to a friend’s house in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles over the weekend. The 47-year-old star of The Morning Show sported a navy blue top with cute puffy sleeves, paired with cropped jeans. She completed her look with brown strappy sandals and a tan handbag, while pushing her black sunglasses up on top of her head. With her long, straight blonde hair flowing, Reese held her phone in one hand as she strolled along.
In a recent interview on the Good Inside with Dr. Becky podcast, Reese discussed her latest children’s book, Busy Betty and the Circus Surprise, and emphasized the importance of allowing kids to experience failure. “I don’t know when we stopped letting our kids fail,” she said. “I learned so much from the paper I didn’t turn in or the demerits I got. Learning from failure is actually a valuable tool that you can’t take away from kids.”
Reese also appeared on The Today Show with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager to promote her book. During the interview, she opened up about cutting out “draining people” from her life as she enters a new chapter following her divorce from Jim Toth. “I am really proud of the life decisions I have made, and that I made with kindness and grace,” Reese shared. “All you can do in this world is go through things. Everybody goes through ups and downs, but it’s about how you deal with them.”
Reese and Jim announced their split in March, just days before their 12th wedding anniversary. They tied the knot in 2011 in a romantic backyard wedding. The former couple shares a son, Tennessee, who is now 10 years old. Reese also has two children, son Deacon (19) and daughter Ava (24), from her previous marriage to Ryan Phillippe.
