After a long day of training, she quenched her thirst with a can of Tango and carried her essentials in a tote bag, giving her feet a break in some comfy Birkenstock loafers.
Another soap star, Adam Thomas, was also seen with a big smile on his face, despite reportedly being ‘banned’ from rehearsals due to a flu outbreak in the cast. Adam, who starred in Waterloo Road, opted for a simple white T-shirt and black jogging bottoms, completing the look with a green beanie hat and a black leather jacket. It seems that Adam has fully recovered after feeling under the weather earlier in the week. He had to miss training to avoid spreading his bug to others or his dance partner Luba Mushtuk, whom he dances closely with.
Layton Williams was also captured on camera, looking stylish and happy in a black padded gilet and zebra print trousers. With the cast advised to prioritize their health this week, show bosses are concerned about the illness spreading rapidly among the stars, which would be a ‘nightmare’ for the show. A source revealed to The Sun that Strictly has been banning celebrities and professional dancers from training if they’re feeling unwell in an effort to prevent the spread of the illness. Everyone involved in the show wants to continue, but it’s important to avoid spreading any bugs that could have a significant impact.
Unfortunately, the illness will affect Saturday’s live show, as Amanda Abbington has been forced to withdraw from this week’s performance due to medical reasons. The announcement was made on It Takes Two by host and former Strictly pro Janette Manrara. Janette expressed her hopes that Amanda will be back in fighting form next week and sent her best wishes. A spokesperson for Strictly confirmed that Amanda’s absence is due to ill health and stated that, all being well, she and her partner Giovanni will return the following week.
